Working offline

Install for offline use

CatchMate works best offline when installed to your home screen:

• iPhone/iPad: open app.catchmate.fish in Safari → tap the Share icon → Add to Home Screen
• Android: open in Chrome → tap the three-dot menu → Add to Home Screen (or Install App)

Installing adds the app to your device like a native app and enables reliable offline operation.

What works offline

When you lose signal on the bank, active sessions continue to work normally. You can:

• Log catches, weights, and notes
• View your current session
• Access your most recently cached session data

Catch syncing

Catches logged while offline are queued automatically and synced as soon as your connection returns. An offline banner appears at the top of the screen while you are disconnected or while unsynced catches are being uploaded.

What requires a connection

Some actions need an internet connection:

• Deleting a session or catch — you'll see a "No signal" message if you try while offline
• Viewing the Social feed, competitions, and leagues
• Loading new analytics data

Before you head out

Tip: Open the app before you leave home. This ensures your latest session data, tackle profiles, and venue information are cached on your device and available when you arrive at the bank.
