Personal Bests

Personal best tracking

CatchMate tracks your personal best for every species you log — detected automatically the moment you log a catch, with no manual entry required.

How PB detection works

When you log a catch with a weight, CatchMate compares it against every previous catch of the same species in your history. If it's heavier, the session instantly recognises it as a new PB and shows a celebration screen.

Viewing your PBs

Go to Profile → Personal Bests to see your PB for every species you've caught, along with the venue and date it was set.

PBs across disciplines

Personal bests are tracked separately for Specimen and Coarse. If you use both disciplines, a Carp PB set in a Specimen session won't compete with the same species in Coarse.

Target weight

On your Profile, each species in the Species Breakdown has a Target Weight row. Tap Set a target weight to enter a goal (e.g. 20lb Common Carp). CatchMate shows a progress bar comparing your current PB against the target and the percentage achieved. When your PB meets or exceeds the target, the bar turns green and shows Target Achieved! Targets are per-discipline, so your Coarse and Specimen goals are tracked separately.

PB history

When a new PB breaks an old one, the previous record is retained in your history. You can see every PB you've ever set for a species in chronological order.
