Where to find features in CatchMate

A quick Specimen guide to the main CatchMate destinations and the paths to sessions, catches, tackle profiles, venues, maps, and fishing insights.

Use this guide to find common CatchMate features without having to remember where they are. Coarse and Specimen share the same main app destinations, while some labels and fishing details change with the pursuit you are using.

Choose Coarse or Specimen

When the pursuit selector is visible, tap the current pursuit name and choose Coarse or Specimen under Fishing Pursuit. The selected pursuit provides context for new fishing activity; it does not change the pursuit saved on an existing session, plan, or preset. Session history, plans, presets, Analytics, and Gallery can each have their own pursuit filter, so check the filter shown on that page.

Quick navigation map

The map groups destinations by purpose to make them easier to scan. Those group headings are editorial labels, not app menus; follow the named destination and path in the relevant section below.

Main destinations

Home

  • Tap Start New Session to begin session setup.
  • Use Home links to open Intelligence, Angling Advisor, or Social when those links are shown.
  • Tap the avatar shortcut labelled My Profile to open your profile. Profile is also a primary destination in its own right, not a page nested under Home.

Sessions

  • Open History to browse sessions. Choose the Specimen filter to narrow the list to Specimen sessions; open a session to view its details and available Timeline.
  • Open Plans to review saved Session Plans, or Presets to review reusable Session Presets.
  • Use New session to begin session setup.
  • In an active session, use the session page to reach cast tracking, catch logging, notes, photos, and other tools available for that session. Cast controls include Cast Out and Reel In; catch logging is labelled Log Catch where available.

Intelligence

  • Open Intelligence for fishing guidance and venue-related intelligence.
  • Home may also show an Angling Advisor shortcut. It is a separate entry point, not another name for the Intelligence destination.

Analytics

  • Open Analytics for available summaries and analysis. Depending on your Analytics settings, sections can include Overview, Personal pattern explorer, Weather and solunar, Casting, tackle and bait, Depth and rod analysis, and Catch Patterns.
  • Configure visible sections in Profile > App Settings > Analytics > Customize Analytics sections. If a section is missing, check the Analytics settings and layout.

Profile and App Settings

  • Open Profile for your profile, stats, personal bests, and profile shortcuts.
  • Profile shortcuts include Social, Catch Gallery, My Venues, and App Settings.
  • Manage saved tackle setups at Profile > App Settings > Manage Tackle Profiles. Tackle is an alternate bottom-navigation destination when it is shown.
  • Find bait and preparation controls at Profile > App Settings > Bait & preparation. Manage Bait Library appears only when a relevant bait, groundbait, or flavouring feature is enabled.
  • Review notification choices at Profile > App Settings > Push Notifications.
  • Change the destinations shown in the bottom bar at Profile > App Settings > Layout > Bottom Nav.
  • Open Help & Support from App Settings to reach the Help Centre.

Other destinations

Social

Open Social for Feed, Friends, Comps, Leagues, Requests, and Find. Social may need to be added to your bottom bar first.

Tackle

Open Tackle to manage saved tackle profiles, add a profile, or create a group. You can also manage tackle profiles through the App Settings path above.

Venues

  • Open Venues and choose a saved venue to view its page.
  • Venue pages can include Intel, Bait, History, Depths, Reviews, and Photos. Choose View Map to open the full-screen venue map.
  • My Venues in Profile is another route to your saved venues.

Gallery

Open Gallery to browse catch photos. Choose Grid, Venues, or Map view and filter by All, Coarse, or Specimen. Profile > Catch Gallery is another entry point.

If a destination is missing

The bottom bar is personalisable and shows between two and five destinations. By default it contains Home, Sessions, Intelligence, Analytics, and Profile. Social, Tackle, Venues, and Gallery can also be selected. Review the visible destinations at Profile > App Settings > Layout > Bottom Nav. Some Settings rows and Analytics sections also depend on which features are enabled in App Settings.

Specimen note

Coarse and Specimen use the same destination map, but the fishing context and some session setup labels differ. In Specimen session preparation, the feed section may be labelled Feed & Mixes. Follow the label shown in your session.
