Session Debrief (AI)
After you end a session, the Angling Advisor automatically generates a personalised debrief — a short written analysis of how your session went.
What's included
The debrief is generated from your actual session data:
- Session venue and date
- Duration
- Total fish count and weight
- Catch rate (fish per hour)
- Species breakdown (what you caught and how much it weighed)
- Best fish of the session
- Your own session notes (if you added any)
- Weather conditions recorded at the session
Debrief sections
- Overall — A two-sentence plain-English summary of the result
- What went well — Specific positives the AI identifies from your data
- Try next time — One or two practical suggestions to improve performance next time out
- Tactical tip — A targeted coarse fishing tip relevant to the species caught, conditions, and venue type
Where to find it
Open any completed session from Sessions → History and scroll down to the Debrief card. If you ended the session recently, it's also shown immediately on the session end screen.
If a debrief is missing
If the AI service was unavailable when you ended the session — for example you finished offline — the debrief is queued and generated automatically the next time the app has a connection. The session itself is saved either way.
