Why peg pins matter

Saving depths during a session stores them in your peg profile, but to see those depths as visual markers on the venue map you also need a peg pin at the right location. Once the pin is dropped, every future depth save syncs to the map automatically — you only need to do this once per peg.

Dropping a peg pin to link your depths

Steps

1. Open the venue map — either from Venues → [your venue] → Map, or tap Open Map in the depth-save toast that appears during a session.

2. Tap the spot on the map where your peg is. The Add Pin sheet slides up from the bottom.

3. Peg is selected as the pin type by default.

4. If you arrived via the Open Map toast from a session, the peg number is already filled in for you.

5. If you have saved depth readings for that peg number at this venue, a cyan preview card appears — for example:

   ≋ 3 saved depths will be linked
   Long pole · 42in (1.07m)    6m line · 30in (0.76m)    Margin · 18in (0.46m)

6. Confirm or edit the peg number; add an optional swim name and notes if you wish.

7. Tap Drop Pin.

What this gives you: A peg marker on the map at your chosen location, with individual depth marker pins placed at the same spot — one per saved depth entry, each showing the label and measurement.

Viewing depths on the map

Once a peg pin is in place:

1. Open the venue map.
2. Tap the peg marker (the fishing-rod icon with the peg number).
3. The peg info popup opens.
4. The ≋ Swim Depths section (cyan card) lists all your saved depth entries — labels and measurements in your chosen unit (ft/in or metres).

This works at any time — even with no active session running. The depths are read from the permanent peg profile, not from the most recent session.

Auto-sync after the pin is dropped

You do not need to re-drop the pin when you update depths. Any time you tap Update peg profile — Peg X in the Swim Depths panel, or switch Save to peg profile on when saving a rod's inline depth, the map pins refresh immediately. Your plumbed depth chart stays up to date across every session at that peg.
