Match Competitions

Match competitions

Match Competitions are head-to-head fishing contests between two or more anglers. Each angler fishes a session and their total weight determines the winner.

Challenging a friend (1v1)

  1. Open a friend's profile from the Social tab
  2. Tap Challenge to a Match
  3. Set the match name and optionally add a message
  4. Tap Send Challenge

Your friend receives a notification and can accept or decline. Once accepted, both anglers fish their sessions — the app tracks whose session is linked to the match. When both sessions are ended, the result is calculated automatically and both anglers are notified.

Creating a multi-angler competition

From Social → Competitions → + New Competition, you can create a match with multiple participants. Add as many friends as you like. Bot participants (ghost anglers with random results) can also be added to fill out smaller groups.

Match results

Results show: winner's name, weight, catch count, and session breakdown. Wins, losses, and draws are tracked on your profile. A match counts as a draw if both anglers record the same total weight.

What each opponent can see

For a linked match, each angler can see the other's session weight, catch count, and species breakdown for the matched session. Other personal session data — your free-text notes, peg number, exact catch list, and any photos — stays private unless you choose to share them through a feed post.
