Sessions

Multi-rod sessions

CatchMate supports up to 4 simultaneous rods — each rod slot is independent with its own tackle profile, cast log, and catch attribution.

Setting up multiple rods

When starting a session, set Number of Rods to 2, 3, or 4. You'll then be prompted to assign a tackle profile to each rod slot before the session begins.

During the session

Each rod appears as its own card on the active session screen. Tap the rod card to:

  • Log a cast on that rod
  • Log a catch on that rod
  • View cast history for that rod
  • Change the tackle profile mid-session (e.g. if you change your rig)

Changing a tackle profile mid-session

Tap the rod card, then tap Change Rig. Select the new profile. From that point, catches and casts on that rod are attributed to the new profile. The analytics track which profile was active for which portion of the session.

Rod slots and analytics

At the end of a session, CatchMate calculates how many hours each tackle profile was actively in use across the session. This feeds the tackle and bait analytics so catch rates are accurately attributed to the right rig.
