Lake feature mapping

The Lake Feature Map lets you pin your hotspots, snags, island margins, bars, and any other features on a real satellite view of the venue.

Opening the map

From the Venues screen, tap a saved venue, then tap the View Map button.

Adding a feature pin

  1. Tap and hold on the map at the location of the feature
  2. A pin is dropped — tap it to name and categorise it
  3. Choose a feature type: Hotspot, Snag, Island, Bar, Margin, Shallow, Deep, Reed Bed, Tree, Bridge, Other
  4. Add a name and any notes (e.g. "Right-hand island margin — fishes well in SW wind")
  5. Tap Save

Editing and removing pins

Tap any existing pin to edit its name, type, or notes. Long-press a pin to delete it.

Using the map during a session

The venue map is accessible directly from any session screen. If the session's venue matches one of your saved venues, a Map button appears next to the venue name at the top of the session. Tap it to open the feature map — useful for checking pin locations while you're on the bank. Tap the back arrow to return to your session.

Map layers

Toggle between standard map view and satellite view using the layer button in the top corner of the map. Satellite view is recommended for identifying actual lake features.
