Venues
Adding a venue
Saving a venue means you can select it quickly when starting a session and build up a history of results there over time. Including a postcode for a venue allows the saved record to provide a map of the venue and pull weather forecasts and live weather for that location.
To add a venue
- Go to Venues from the bottom navigation or home screen
- Tap + Add Venue
- Enter the venue name
- Select the appropriate Water Type (optional)
- Enter the Post Code of the venue (for live weather and mapping)
- Optionally add Notes (type of fishery, species present, facilities)
- Finally, press the Add Venue button to save the new venue.
A note on postcodes and pin accuracy
Many fisheries — especially small commercial complexes and rural waters — share a postcode with a wider area or the nearest village rather than having one that pins exactly to the bank. The postcode is still useful: it pulls live weather and a forecast that's accurate enough for planning, and it places a default map marker on the right area.
For pin-accurate mapping, open the venue's map and drop a pin on the swim or car park manually (see Drawing venue maps). Saved map pins take precedence over the postcode for in-app distance and weather lookups.
Venue Intel
Each venue has an Intel tab where you can save your knowledge:
- Best pegs — Which pegs historically produce
- Best tactics — What methods work at this venue
- Best baits — What the fish respond to
- Best time of year — Seasonal notes
This is your personal fishing notebook for each water. It's private — only you can see it.
