Troubleshooting
Notifications not arriving
If you've enabled push notifications but they aren't coming through, work through these checks.
1. Confirm you tapped Allow
When you first enabled notifications, your browser or phone will have asked for permission. If you tapped Don't Allow (or dismissed the prompt), no notifications can be sent.
2. iPhone — check the system setting
iPhone notifications for the installed PWA are managed at:
iPhone Settings → Notifications → CatchMate → Allow Notifications
Make sure this is on. iPhone notifications also require iOS 16.4 or later and the app must be installed to your home screen.
3. Android — check the system setting
Phone Settings → Apps → CatchMate (or your browser) → Notifications → Allow
4. Check per-type toggles inside CatchMate
Go to Profile → App Settings → Notifications and confirm the specific notification type you're expecting (e.g. Friend PB, League overtake) is toggled on. See the full list in Push notifications.
5. Re-enable push notifications
Tap Disable notifications then Enable push notifications again in App Settings. This re-registers your device with the notification service.
