Installing CatchMate on your phone

On iPhone (Safari)

1. Open coarse.catchmate.fish in Safari
2. Tap the Share button (the box with an arrow pointing up)
3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
4. Tap Add — the CatchMate icon appears on your home screen

On Android (Chrome)

1. Open coarse.catchmate.fish in Chrome
2. Tap the three dots (⋮) menu in the top right
3. Tap Add to Home Screen or Install app
4. Tap Add — the icon appears on your home screen

On desktop (Chrome / Edge)

1. Open coarse.catchmate.fish in Chrome or Edge
2. Look for the install icon (a small computer with a downward arrow) at the right-hand end of the address bar, or open the browser menu and choose Install CatchMate Coarse
3. Confirm the install — CatchMate opens in its own window and is added to your Start menu, dock, or applications list

What you get

Once installed, CatchMate opens full-screen like a native app, with its own icon on your home screen or desktop. Your data is always synced to the cloud, so it works across all your devices.

Working offline

CatchMate caches itself so the app loads instantly even on a poor connection, and the core session-recording workflow continues to work without a signal. See Working offline for the full details on what works on the bank with no reception and how the sync banner behaves.

Updating the app

CatchMate updates automatically. When a new version is published, your installed app picks it up the next time you open it with an internet connection — usually within a few seconds. If you want to force an update, fully close the app and reopen it. There's no manual "Check for updates" button because there's nothing to check; the latest version is always served from the web.
