Tackle Profiles
Rig setup fields explained
When building a specimen tackle profile, you'll see fields specific to rig fishing — here's what each one means.
Rod & Reel
- Rod brand / model — the rod you're fishing
- Reel brand / model — the reel on that rod
- Test curve — rod test curve in lb (e.g. 2.5lb, 3lb, 3.5lb)
- Rod length — in feet
Main Line
- Line name — brand and product name of your mainline
- Line strength — breaking strain in lb
Rig
- Rig type — Chod, Hinged Stiff, Hair, Ronnie/Spinner, Naked, Running, Fixed
- Lead arrangement — Inline, Helicopter, Safety Clip, Running Rig, Chod
- Hook link material — Fluorocarbon, Coated Braid, Uncoated Braid, Mono, Stiff Link
- Hook link length — in inches
- Hook link strength — breaking strain in lb
- Hook type / brand — e.g. Curve Shank, Wide Gape, Longshank / Korda, Nash, Fox
- Hook size — size number
Bait
- Bait name — the hook bait being used on this rig
Advanced fields
Tap Advanced to expand:
- Fishing depth — Surface, Shallow, Midwater, Bottom, On the Deck
- Notes — any other rig notes worth recording
