Intelligence and weekly planning
Learn how Today's Fishing Plan, the seven-day forecast, and your recorded Specimen sessions support daily and weekly fishing plans.
Intelligence brings together weather information and patterns from your own Specimen sessions. Forecasts describe expected conditions; personal recommendations and venue rankings use your recorded history where relevant evidence is available. When history is sparse, a recommendation or score may be limited or unavailable. Neither a forecast nor a past pattern guarantees a catch.
Today's Fishing Plan
Today's Fishing Plan is its own daily-planning section, above Plan your week. It presents today's conditions and any personal recommendations supported by your recorded sessions. It remains separate from the seven-day forecast below. The amount of detail available depends on the matching history; treat recommendations as planning context, not a promise.
For broader comparisons of your recorded sessions, see Analytics & session trends.
Plan your week
Plan your week provides a seven-day weather forecast with a fishing-condition score for each day. Weather describes expected conditions; any personal recommendations shown alongside it draw on your own Specimen history where the evidence is available.

Set the weekly location with Use my location (GPS), Postcode, or a saved Venue. GPS and postcode provide general weather for the selected location. Choosing a saved venue shows the forecast for that venue.
Each day shows its forecast and one of the current scores: Good, Fair, Tough, or No Data. These are planning indicators, not catch predictions. No Data means there is not enough usable evidence to produce a score.
Open a day to review its forecast and any available personal recommendations, such as venue, rod/rig setup, hookbait (for example, a boilie), or peak time. Which recommendations appear depends on your recorded sessions and the relevant evidence. A forecast describes expected weather; a personal pattern describes what appears in your history. Neither proves that a condition or choice caused a catch.

Where the day detail includes moon-phase or activity information, see Solunar Intelligence for an explanation of those windows. Solunar context is another planning signal, not a guarantee.
Best nearby venues
Best nearby venues appears when the weekly location is set with GPS (Use my location) or Postcode. It compares your own saved, mappable venues within the selected 25-mile or 50-mile radius. The chosen location is the distance anchor; each venue is evaluated using its own forecast. This is not a directory of all nearby fisheries.
Best nearby venues compares saved venues using each venue's own forecast.
Use the optional Focus species filter to narrow the venue comparison to a species. Venues without saved location data cannot be mapped or evaluated and are left out; mappable saved venues outside the selected radius are also excluded. If no saved venues meet those criteria, there are no nearby results to compare.
The best-day marker belongs to Best nearby venues: it identifies the best-ranked day in that venue comparison. It does not mark a best day in the seven-day forecast.
If the weekly view offers Save plan, it saves a Session Plan for preparation; it does not start a fishing session. See Creating and using a session plan for the planning and save workflow.
For discipline-specific weather patterns, see Weather Intelligence. Solunar Intelligence explains lunar phases and activity windows.
