Bait Library
Bait library overview
The Bait Library is where you save the baits, groundbaits, mixes, brands and applied additives you use for Coarse fishing, so they are ready to select during session preparation.
Accessing the Bait Library
Go to Profile → App Settings → Manage Bait Library. If a feature is switched off, enable the relevant Bait Tracking or Groundbait setting first.
Adding and organising a bait
- Tap + Add Bait
- Enter the bait name
- Choose the type or role that matches how you use it
- Optionally add the bait's own Flavour text, presentation, size and notes
- Tap Save
You can edit an entry, delete it, clone it when you want a similar item, and drag entries into your preferred order where the list supports reordering. Use Manage brands to keep brand names consistent across your library.
The existing bait Flavour field remains useful for describing the bait itself. Flavourings & additives is a separate catalogue for applied products; it does not replace or rewrite that bait-level text.
Flavourings and additives
Open Flavourings & additives from the Bait Library to keep applied liquids, powders, sprays, oils, extracts, sweeteners and binders separate from a bait's own name and flavour description.
A flavouring can have a name and optional brand. Its format can be liquid, powder, spray, oil, extract, sweetener, or binder. Intended applications include groundbait/method mix, pellets/feed, hookbait/boilie, particles/maggots, PVA, and spod/particle mix. You can also record optional water or carrier behaviour, choose a PVA compatibility status (not recorded, PVA compatible, not PVA friendly, or use with caution), and add an optional colour effect.
An optional dose range stores a base amount and unit. Units include ml, ml/kg, ml/pint, g, g/kg, drops, sprays, and parts. Manufacturer dose information is guidance rather than a universal rule: follow the product label and start conservatively where appropriate.
Flavourings can be shown for All pursuits or kept specific to the active discipline. This controls availability and visibility; it does not create a second copy of the flavouring.
You can add, edit, delete, clone and reorder flavourings, and manage their brands in the same catalogue.
Linking flavourings to a bait or mix
Open a saved bait or groundbait/mix preset and add a linked flavouring. Choose the intended application and, if useful, save a default amount and unit for that link. The link helps you prepare the saved bait or mix; it does not change the bait's own identity or historical bait attribution.
When a saved preset carries linked flavourings into session preparation, review the inherited additives before using them. Confirm the ones you want for that session, remove any you do not need, and adjust the amount or unit when required. CatchMate does not imply that an additive is used without your confirmation.
Using saved entries in tackle profiles
When building a tackle profile, select a saved bait from the Bait Library rather than typing its name. See Tackle profiles for how saved hookbaits and other setup details are applied to a rod.
