Creating your account

We are currently accepting registrations by invitation only — your email address must be on the approved list before you can create an account.

Once registered, your account works seamlessly across all devices — mobile, tablet, laptop, or desktop — anywhere you have access to a web browser.

To register

1. Open the app at app.catchmate.fish in your device's browser
2. Tap Register here on the sign-in screen
3. Enter your first name and last name
4. Choose a username — prefixed with @, 3–20 characters, letters, numbers, underscores and dots only. The app checks availability live as you type
5. Enter your email address and tap Send verification code — an 8-digit code will be emailed to you
6. Enter the 8-digit verification code in the field that appears
7. Choose a password (minimum 6 characters) and confirm it
8. Tap Create Account — you'll land directly on the home screen

The Create Account button is only enabled once all fields are filled, your email has been verified, and your username is confirmed as available.

Your username

Your username is your social identity in CatchMate — it appears on the social feed, leaderboards, competitions, and your public profile, and is how other anglers find and recognise you. Usernames are unique across all CatchMate users and are case-insensitive, so @Oli and @oli cannot both exist.

You choose your username at registration. If you want to change it later, go to Profile → App Settings → Account.

Signing in on another device

Simply visit app.catchmate.fish and enter your email and password. All your data is stored in the cloud and loads automatically.

Forgot your password?

Tap Forgot your password? on the sign-in screen, enter your email address, and a reset link will be sent to you.

Two-factor authentication (2FA)

For extra security you can enable authenticator-based 2FA from Profile → App Settings → Account → Two-Factor Authentication. You'll need an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Authy. Once enabled, you'll enter a 6-digit code each time you sign in, in addition to your password.
